<strong>sustainability<\/strong> is an increasingly central factor in Italians&#8217; consumption propensities: the theme clearly emerges from the latest <strong>Packaging Observatory<\/strong> curated by <strong>Nomisma<\/strong> and presented on the occasion of <strong>Marca da BolognaFiere 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The results of the survey, conducted on a representative sample of buyers aged between 18 and 70, highlight in particular an <strong>increase in awareness<\/strong> regarding the critical issues linked to climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Around 60% of those interviewed consider these problems to be serious, while for around a third of them the climate crisis and its effects represent one of the main concerns for the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>Anxiety is also fueled by the increase in the cost of living, which over the last year has weighed on the budgets of numerous families, forced to also save on food consumption<\/p>\n<p>In any case, 32% of Italians believe that <strong>sustainability<\/strong>, combined with greater <strong>attention to the environment<\/strong>, is a crucial element in behavioral and purchasing decisions. Almost 60% say they take these aspects into consideration in their daily choices.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-3 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.92%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:20px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.92%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-order-medium:0;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.92%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-order-small:0;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><h3>ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: THE COMMITMENT<\/h3>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4\"><p>When you are more aware of your environmental impact, you are also more likely to work to reduce it. The data highlights a growth in the number of people who are most interested in the problem and who try to remedy it by adopting <strong>small measures<\/strong>, starting from <strong>saving water and electricity<\/strong>, through <strong>green mobility<\/strong>, up to 66% who pay more attention to the purchase of <strong>more sustainable food and drinks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the <strong>packaging of a food product<\/strong> is considered crucial in terms of sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>The preferred packaging is <strong>plastic-free and reusable<\/strong>; recycled materials and fully recyclable packaging, together with those with low CO2 emissions, are the most appreciated. The consumer trend is towards products with less excess packaging.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the <strong>concern for recyclability<\/strong> is evident, with almost 8 out of 10 Italians believing it is important to know the recycling process and the future of the material once recycled.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-4
